Often, parents can feel guilty letting their children sit in front of netflix but I feel that it can be a valuable experience. We recently watched Karate Kid and had a dialogue in bullying. Sure we all sat in front of the TV for 2 hours but watching it opened up a conversation that we probably wouldn’t have had until one of them was affected by it (in which case, a conversation that could potentially be more difficult for them to engage in).
