Earlier this year, we went on a weekend getaway with some friends to Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, Washington. The kid’s were really excited because not only do they love GWL, we were going to drive there in a 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir. We were lucky to be taking this luxury SUV on our road trip and now I’m sharing what we thought of the Buick Enclave.
When we picked up the car and got in, the first thing we noticed was how luxurious it was on the inside as well as how roomy. The kids loved that the first row in the back were bucket seats so they had their own chairs to themselves. (This can be very handy when you have kids.)

Safety Features – 2018 Buick Enclave
1. Surround Vision and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
This made it so much safer and easier when parking and reversing. I loved that there was an ariel view along with a rear view camera.
2. Collision Alert
Having this safety feature really reduces the chances of an accident. The technology can detect that you’re close to a front-end collision situation and it will alert you. It also alerts the driver if you are following another vehicle too closely.
3. OnStar Safety & Security
This is so great because it includes Automatic Crash Response, Emergency Services, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, and Roadside Assistance. OnStar is free for the first month and then you can decide if you want to keep it.
Technology – 2018 Buick Enclave
1. Apple Car Play
The Buick Enclave comes with an 8-inch digital touch screen and Apple Car Play. It puts your car safe apps, in the display along with your music, text messages and hands-free phone calls. It also has support for Android Auto for the non-Apple users 🙂
2. WiFi
And of course my son’s favourite, the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir has available 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot technology that lets you to wirelessly connect up to seven compatible smartphones, tablets, or laptops, seven!! Not that you’ll need seven, but still, that’s pretty awesome.
3. MyBuick Mobile App
With this app, you can manage your car from anywhere. With the MyBuick app, you can see where you parked, remote start your vehicle, monitor Wi-Fi, check data usage, send directions to your vehicle and lots more!
Overall I would say the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir is a great luxury family SUV. It’s really roomy without being huge. It has ample trunk space and the back seats fold down if you need more. The technology is great and we all felt very safe driving it!
