Hi, I’m Salma, a certified personal trainer, a mom of two, and a latte & matcha lover!
In 2020, I changed my site from www.TheWriteBalance.ca to www.SalmaDinani.com to reflect my shift from sharing about parenting, recipes, family and crafts to fitness, wellness and body acceptance.
For a little background, I started blogging in November 2012. At the time I was living in Winnipeg, Manitoba and working at Breakfast Television as a producer. Becoming a mom changed my life and I wanted a way to share what I was learning, doing and feeling, so I started a blog.
I’m married to a great guy that I met in University and we have two awesome kids. After baby number two, even though I loved my career, I started having second thoughts about going back to work. I felt like I was missing so much in their lives and I wanted to be a part of it and I wanted to raise them my way.
I made a decision to work from home so I could be around for my children. Blogging and creating social content has been an amazing journey.
In 2018, I started a new journey. I went back to school to get certified as a personal trainer. I have always loved fitness and movement and as I realized how much more of an impact can have on our mental and physical health, I realized I wanted to share all this with others.
I graduated in 2019 with my certification and started working. However, a few months later, covid hit and working in person was sidelined, so I did mostly online training and programming.
