It’s a cold November day as I am sitting down in the kitchen to write this week’s 3 Things Thursday. I am looking back at my photos of the week and there are so many things I want to share with you. It was actually a little hard to pick just three! So here they are:
1. Clean Eating Challenge
On Monday, I started a one-week clean eating challenge. It’s actually a two-week plan from Buzz Feed, but my friend and I who are doing it together, decided to start with a week and see how it goes. So far, it’s been pretty good, but challenging at the same time. I feel like it’s almost worth writing a blog post at the end of my week to share my experience and what I learned from it. If you’ve done a clean eating challenge before, I’d love to hear your experience.
2. Mom’s Cooking
The other night, my mom and I had a tea date so we could write down her delicious biryani recipe. I am going to be posting all her recipes on my blog so that I can have them and share them. Eventually I hope to create an ebook for her. I’m sure most of you agree that there is nothing like your mom’s cooking. You can find some of the photo’s on Instagram with #ShaidasKitchen.
3. Essential Oils
I recently went to a friends party to learn more about essential oils. I was definitely interested and intrigued so I bought a starter pack to try things out. It gave me a bunch of the basics in small vials so I could test them out. I was excited to get them delivered yesterday and now that the hubby is sick, I have someone to try them out on! Do any of you have a favourite essential oil that you use?
Thos are my three things this week. If you’re a blogger and would like to join in on 3 Things Thursday, grab the badge from the top of my post, write about your three things, then link up using the linky button below. Make sure to link back to one of us hosts, me, Salma from The Write Balance, Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch or Raj from Pink Chai Living. Have a great Thursday!
Your three things all interest me. An eating challenge would help to inspire you and keep you on track. Nothing like Mom’s cooking is there? You resemble your mother–a younger version. And I love essential oils. Trouble is–they’re soooo expensive.
Thanks Francene! And I do agree, they are expensive!
Love that pic of you and your mom…so pretty!
And you’re absolutely right, there’s nothing like mom’s home cooking!
Thanks Parita and yes, nothing like’s moms cooking!
Every thing looks so good. I could do a clean eating for a bit now. Holidays are on the way.
Coffee is on
Thank you Dora
I would love to see some of your Mom’s recipes. I am amazed at how many things you get done each week.
Some week’s more than others Alana 😉
Love the idea of doing a clean eating/cleanse week or two but as a vegetarian (no red meat, no chicken, no fish), I’ve had a hard time finding a reputable one:( Love the pic of you and your mom, so sweet!
I can imagine that it must be tough Renata!
I love Thyme or Eucalyptus in the shower when I’m feeling congested. It works wonders!
I haven’t tried Thyme, thanks for the suggestion.
Can’t wait to see/try/TASTE your mom’s recipes 🙂 Love that you are doing it together <3
Thanks Taslim, it’s fun doing it together 🙂
