It’s my favourite time of the week, 3 Things Thursday. This is a link-up post I do every week with my co-hosts Raj from Pink Chai Living and Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch. We share the three things that we are loving, pondering on or just can’t get out of our heads this week. And you can join in the fun by clicking on the linky below. But first things first, I need to share!
1. Family Vacation
I’m even more excited than usual because today we are leaving for a family vacation to San Diego County! The hubby, the kids, the in-laws and I are flying off to sunny California. We are staying at the Lakehouse Hotel in San Marcos which is about a 20 minute drive to San Diego. We are planning on swimming in the pools, visiting the beach, the zoo, the aquarium, Legoland and of course a ‘quick’ shopping trip to the Carlsbad Outlets. It promises to be a fun trip and if you’re interested in following our adventure, I will be posting photos regularly on my Instagram.
2. Mama-ste: Celebrating Women and Moms
I found out about this really cool event called Mama-ste in support of BC Women’s Hospital Foundation. It’s happening on May 6, so unfortunately I will be in San Diego, but I thought I’d pass the info along to any of you local Vancouverites who are reading this. You can buy tickets to an all-ages yoga session or a mom and babies session in the Olympic Village with organic fruit, juice and some awesome door prize. You can find more info for this great even for a good cause at www.bcwomensfoundation.org.
3. Socks
Found some awesome, colourful printed socks from Old Navy that I had to share because I’ve been loving them this week! It’s great when you’re wearing a regular outfit ensemble and you take your shoes off and BAM! Socks that are off-kilter and totally don’t match. It’s fabulous. And so many of these socks are on sale at Old Navy right now for around $2. They brightened up my week 🙂
Now it’s your turn to share #3ThingsThurs. Just add your post to the link-up below, grab a badge and make sure to check out Pink Chai Living and Love Laugh Mirch as well.
Happy Thursday!

Great idea for a blog post – will make that tomorrow’s post I think. Enjoy your time in San Diego and your socks 🙂
That’s so great Ana, we would love for you to link up! Can’t wait to read your three things 🙂
Love the travel pictures of your kids. There’s nothing quite as fun as getting to see a child on vacation. It’s wonderful to hear and see their enthusiasm. 🙂
Thanks Avery, they are really enjoying themselves.
Adorable socks. i did the same for the winter (matching festive ones for the holidays) but now need an update for the spring. thanks for the tip will check out Old Navy. So envious of your vacay. Can’t wait for ours to start which is back to the motherland next month-although it is going to be HOTTTTT. But wait reminder to self cannot complain about heat after this ridiculous 6 month winter!! Mama-ste needs to come to Toronto!!
Thanks Sanober. And have an amazing trip to the motherland!! Cold weather makes us appreciate extreme heat a lot more!
Love the socks! I totally agree with you, I think that socks add so much personality to an outfit. I particularly love my argyle socks and try to wear it anytime I can lol. Have a great vacation!
