It’s time for this week’s 3 Things Thursday. If you haven’t stopped by on a Thursday before, it’s where I share three great things from my week. If you’re a blogger and you want to join in, the instructions for the link up are at the bottom of the post.
1. Growing Carrots
Back in April, we attended the Coquitlam Farmer’s Market Small Space Gardening Workshop. The reason being is that we want to grow some herbs and veggies but have a very small space in our back yard. This workshop was great! We learned how to make a garden in a container in such a way that you don’t have to water it everyday! Our vegetable of choice was carrots. As you can see from the photo, we have some very proud gardeners and the carrots are thriving. Can’t wait to try them out.
2. New York Cheesecake
Earlier this year, I took my first trip to New York City. It was a lot of fun! We did lots of sightseeing and eating. But the one thing I didn’t get to have was an authentic New York Cheesecake. But I remedied it on my latest trip with Junior’s Strawberry Cheesecake. OMG, it was so delicious! Totally worth the wait. I actually ate a lot of good food on this trip and I share it all here.
3. Gabi & Jules Pie
Ever since my friend Tairalyn over at Little Miss Mama shared a picture of the most delicious looking pie, I have been wanting to try one of them! I looked into it and they are actually a new line of locally baked goods from Caffe Divano called Gabi & Jules. They have pies, jams, granola and scone mixes. My mouth is watering as I tell you about it. What is seriously awesome is that partial proceeds from Gabi & Jules go to the Autism Support Network. Even more of a reason to head of over to Caffe Divano with the kids and try some of their baked goodies. I can’t wait!
Those are my 3 Things Thursday this week. As promised. here’s how you can participate and share too. Write a blog post about your three things this week. Grab the badge from the top of my post. Make sure to link back to either myself, Salma at The Write Balance, Raj at Pink Chai Living or Nisha at Love Laugh Mirch. Then click on the linky below to add your post. It’s that simple.
Have a wonderful Thursday!

I am going to find that cheesecake the next time I’m in NYC!
Hmmmm. what three things did I do this week?
1. Decided to sell my house
2. Watched the man put up the For Sale sign in my front yard
3. Looked at an apartment
All three were quite traumatic. ;(
You garden looks great! I’m so jealous… I would love to grow my own herbs and veggies… but I’m not as talented as your cute gardeners! 🙂
Carrots, cheesecake and pies … 3 of my favorite things. Especially the cheesecake. Yum. You’ve got me craving it now. Thanks for that. 🙂
Three wonderful things, all associated with food. Heck, I’m missing out on a lot by living on the other side of the pond.
I love that idea for small space gardening. I have never been successful at growing anything, but I’d like to try to grow some herbs. Bookmarked for next year.
