Easy DIY Family Holiday Cards

The holidays are almost here. If you like sending out holiday cards but don’t have time to organize a special holiday family photo then you’ll want to read this post! If you already have a nice photo of the family or of the kids, you can use the digital image to create fun and festive DIY family holiday cards in just a few minutes, really!

**PicMonkey has rolled out a new version, but if you click on the top right hand corner where it says Beta, you can switch back to old pic monkey, which I always do!

Easy DIY Family Holiday Cards

 

As a blogger, I use free online resources to create and edit images all the time. One of my favourites is PicMonkey. The free version has everything you need and it’s user friendly.

Make Your Own DIY Family Holiday Cards

To create your own Family Holiday Cards, first what you need to do is find an image that you like.
Here is one that I liked.

Then you want to go to www.picmonkey.com and select Edit a PhotoThen you’ll go to the top left hand corner to select OPEN NEW and then choose an image to edit from your computer.

Once the photo is in, you’ll want to go to the left hand column and select the option which is the image of a snowflake and then click on Santa Land. This will open a whole bunch of options for you to use to make some really great holiday cards. You can experiment with what you like.

Some of the ones I used in the Santa Land Theme were: Season’s Messages, Santa’s Buddies, Evertrees, Candy Cane Fram and Santa Script. You can see how it looks below.

Once you’ve created your masterpiece, make sure you export it to your desktop. Then all that is left to do is send it to your favourite printing place and you’re Holiday Cards are done!

I know, you can’t believe it’s that easy to make DIY Family Holiday Cards, but it really is. So bake up some of your favourite holiday cookies, then start creating these awesome cards.
