Every holiday season, when it’s time to shop, I look forward to it. Yes it’s because I like shopping, but it’s also because for the last few years, I’ve had the luxury of being an Avioner. What does that mean? It means that when I go holiday shopping, I get to do it in style!
This year, the RBC Avion Holiday Boutique has hit Metropolis at Metrotown and I recently did my first shop there. It was awesome!
When we first got there, they had a place to check your coats and large bags and parcels so you didn’t have to carry it around with you while you shopped. They also had a fabulous cafe where you can get coffee, tea, cookies, treats and even fruit. My four-year old opted for hot chocolate and cookies.
The lounge had a complimentary gift wrapping station which was so great. I gave them the gifts that I wanted to wrap, grabbed a coffee and sat down with Kyah. We enjoyed the comfy couches, the ambiance, the music and the great collection of holiday books they had for the kids to read.
Once we picked up our wrapped gifts, it was time to head home. But will definitely be back!
The RBC Avion Holiday Boutique is also hitting a mall in your city. There is the Metropolis at Metrotown location that I visited. In Toronto there is the Yorkdale Shopping Centre location. Both are now open until December 31, 2015.
The Avion Holiday Experience is also available in Halifax at the Halifax Shopping Centre and in Ottawa at the St. Laurent Centre.
When you visit the the Avion Holiday Boutiques, here’s what you can expect:
– Valet parking (at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Toronto ONLY)
– Coat and parcel check
– VIP lounge and café
– Concierge services
– Gift wrapping service
These are the services available at the Avion Holiday Experiences:
– Gift wrapping voucher at in-mall gift wrap centre
– Snacks and beverages
– A festive holiday gift
Whether you’re the person who loves going to the mall and doing all your holiday shopping or you’re the person who waits until the last minute because you just don’t like buying gifts, the RBC Avion Boutique will make the shopping experience infinitely better. If you can’t believe it, go visit them yourselves. Then you’ll be a believer. And you’ll probably want to add more people to your gift list just so you can go back and shop some more 🙂

It sounds like you had an enjoyable and relaxing day out with your daughter.
That lounge looks so grown up and stylish.
It was really great Crystal!
Nothing like that where I live in upstate New York – it would be nice, sigh.
I guess we are pretty lucky to have it.
I’m so jealous! Yorkdale is a little far from me but a girl can dream 🙂
IT might be worth the trek Sarita 🙂
How awesome. I don’t know of anything like that in my area but I would definitely be all over that if it were!
It’ll be all over it until the last day, Dec 31 😉
I love that you were able to read Christmas books with your daughter and eat cookies while they did all the wrapping! That is a big plus!
Such an awesome bonus!
Wow, this is like a holiday experience rather than a shopping trip! How fun, and such a great thing to get the kids involved in.
You’re right, it’s totally a holiday experience Amy! And the kids love it too 🙂
Wow! Sounds pretty posh! (And expensive.) I’ve never heard of this store, but it sounds like fun. I love that they have coffee and goodies. I was just in Halifax last month. Had I known, I would have check it out. Thanks for sharing.
Jeanne, the best part is that it’s all free, for RBC Avion Card holders!
