Life gets busy for everyone. Whether it’s work, parenting, kids or just the daily grind, sometimes we all (myself included) forget to take a few minutes out for ourselves. And let’s face it, a lot of the time, we don’t have a couple hours to go for a massage or a facial or to leave everything behind for half the day and go on a nature hike. But, surely you can take 10 minutes for yourself, right?
As mothers, we often forget to ever put ourselves first but it is SO important to take that mini self-care time, every day if you can, just for yourself. Whether it’s while your kids are at school, during the kids bath time or at night after they have gone to bed, take 10 minutes for yourself and you’ll see what a difference it makes. It’s like mini self care! It’s only 10 minutes and you’ll thank yourself after.
In light of self-care and taking 10 just for yourself, I’ve teamed up with SunRype Slim to share my Simple Ways to Take 10 minutes for Yourself. Simple Ways to Take 10 Minutes for Yourself:
1. Read a chapter in your book

2. Write in your journal

5. Get outside

6. Go for short walk

I always tell myself there is no time to do the things I want to do, but you’re right. Even 10 mins to myself can be restorative.

I love doing a quick and easy craft when I need to creatively recharge. I have a lot of 10 minute and under crafts on my site. I pick one and go for it, racing against the clock! Makes me feel good to create something with my hands. I also love taking a cup of tea, heading out into my garden, finding a place to sit and just breath, taking in the smells and sounds of the garden.
