It’s late on Wednesday night as I write my 3 Things Thursday post. It’s been a busy week as we are catching up after being away on our trip. I almost thought about skipping it just until next week when I’m all caught up. But then I looked through the pictures on my phone and realized I had some good stuff I wanted to share with you. So here are my #3ThingsThursday.
1. Making Cookies
When Keyan’s teacher asked me and another mom if we would help out the class with making Father’s Day cookies, of course I said yes! I mean one of the main reasons I decided to work from home was so I a could be there for the kids and be a part of these moments in their lives. It was so nice to see how excited Keyan was to have me in his class. In the end we made 104 delicious Nutella cookies that all the Dad’s are sure to love!
2. VM Top 30 Mom Bloggers Event
Last night I went to the 2015 Vancouver Mom Bloggers event in Gastown. It was a lot of fun to catch up with bloggers and friends that I usually only see online. It was also great to meet the new and connect with new bloggers and small businesses. I love being part of this online community! My favourite part was actually hanging out with those two lovelies. Not only are they amazing ladies, they also have great blogs you should check out: Jamie from Styling the Inside and Taslim from Let Me Out Creative.
3. Cute Kid Moment
As I was getting ready for last nights event (as mentioned above) of course I tried on like seven different outfits until I found one that worked for and that I was comfortable with. I had my little helper with me who already had opinions on what shoes worked better for which outfit. I had to capture this moment when she decided to try on my shoes and walk around my room! Little kids walking around in their moms heels seems like a right of passage for a child (even Keyan wore my shoes when he was little.) I especially love how in the second photo, Kyah struck a pose.
Those are my 3 Things Thursday this week. If you are a blogger and would like to participate, it’s very simple. Write a blog post about three things you want to share. Have a wonderful Thursday!
Your kids are the cutest!
And I loved the outfit you posted on IG from the event. You and your little helper did a great job! 🙂
Thanks so much Parita, on both accounts!
What did the Nutella cookies taste like? I’m fasting and now I want cookies …….
And Kyah is so adroable!
We never got to taste them because they were for the kids to give as fathers’ day gifts. I will sneak a taste this Sunday.
Hanging out with you last night was awesome! I love that we developed our relationship online…but even when we step out from behind the computers, it’s like we’ve been friends forever! You and Jamie kept me laughing till the end 🙂
That’s a lot of cookies – I love Nutella. Are you posting the recipe?
It is pretty awesome Taslim 🙂 And the recipe is from the Nutella Cookbook, which we had to figure out because it was in French lol.
I know how fun it is to go to a convention or something and finally meet in person the faces you know online. It’s like you already know each other. Thank you on behalf of Dads for your delicious cookies. Yum. That little girl of yours … she’s going to be a heart-breaker one day. 🙂
Awww, thanks Jeanne
What a fun post! I have always wanted to go to one of those blogging conferences. Hmmm…maybe this year I will make it happen. 🙂
You really should one day Bethany, it’s a wonderful experience.
