3 Things Thursday – Week 68

Happy Thursday everyone. As you are reading this, I am in New City for Blogher 2015. I’m pretty excited as things start up this evening. I figured I’d be pretty busy so I wrote this post yesterday at the airport while waiting for my flight to board. You gotta love airport wifi! So here are my 3 Things Thursday. 

3 Things Thursday Badge

1. Travel Wallet
I have a BIG wallet. It fits all my cards, money, coupons and receipts.  I have a ritual with my wallet every time i travel. I take out all the stuff I don’t need so it’s light and easy to take with me. But when I come back, I sometimes forget to put back the extra cards and other stuff I need. So I kind of had a great idea (at least I think it is,) to buy a travel wallet. Now instead of taking everything out, I just take out the few things that I need for traveling, put them in. There is also a space for my phone and it has a strap so I can carry it as a purse too. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier!

2. Exercise Break
I am also taking a break from going to the gym. I don’t actually want to because I really enjoy the exercise and challenging myself, plus it’s a great way to start the day. But it seems that my body is protesting. I have a injury on my foot, my knees are paining more (from a car accident a couple years ago) and so is my lower back. Apparently that’s my body telling me to take a break, especially when I had to leave halfway through my step class on Saturday because of the pain. So since then, no exercising for 8 days. Hopefully that will do the trick! Do you take breaks from your workout schedule?

3. On Camera with Vancouver Mom
A while back I told you about the latest Vancouver Mom Top 30 Bloggers event that I had the pleasure of attending. The other day they released a short video of the event and there is a little snippet of yours truly included. It’s a bit of an extreme close-up of me lol, but check it out if you want to see what #VMTop30 is all about.

  1. Yes, have fun at the conference Salma! Thanks for taking the time to share your Three Things Thursday! I love your little purse/wallet. I have a small bag like that where I carry my phone. I have another wallet that holds all my financial stuff and that goes in whatever bag I am currently using. I sometimes will just grab that and head into the store, but that makes it easy. Then, I don’t have to go through all of if every time I want to change purses – especially when traveling!

  2. Aw, yay!!! So happy to see you in the video! Glad it’s been such a positive community for you.

    As far as taking breaks from working out… I totally think it’s important to listen to your body! I had injuired my back a few years ago and couldn’t work out. I told myself that i had to do what was best for my body and slowly in eased into my normal routine by starting with stretching and yoga.
