Whenever the hubby and I decide to have a movie night, much to his chagrin, I always suggest a romantic comedies. I can’t help it, I love them! And what’s not to love, you get some romance and some laughs, add a bowl of popcorn and it’s a pretty awesome evening.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, if you’re going to be at home, why not watch a great romantic comedy! If you have Netflix it’s even easier to just pick a movie (or two,) curl up with your honey and have an enjoyable evening.
Here are some great romantic comedies that you can find and enjoy on Netflix. They are also some of my favorites:
Romantic Comedies to Watch:
Pretty Woman
The classic romantic comedy where the knight saves his damsel in distress and she rescues him right back!
Love Actually
If you want a good romantic comedy, you can usually get a win with Hugh Grant. Love Actually is no exception. This is one of my all time favourite movies and you can’t go wrong if you pick it to watch on Valentine’s Day.
Pitch Perfect
If you love music and haven’t seen Pitch Perfect, it’s the perfect romantic comedy. There are laughs, romance and great acapela singing!
The 40-Year-Old Virgin
This is another great romantic comedy, this time from the male perspective. The exact plot is in the title.
The Princess Bride
And lastly we have Princess Bride. This romantic comedy is a spin on old-fashioned fairy-tales. Having released in 1987, it’s become a cult classic
I also have some other favourite romantic comedies that I have to mention. They are not currently streaming on Netflix Canada, but fingers crossed that they will be added soon!
1. Notting HillÂ
2. Crazy Stupid LoveÂ
3. Hitch
4. The Notebook (not a comedy but super romantic!)
What is your favourite romantic comedies?
