Welcome to our #86 edition of 3 Things Thursday. This week is extra special because we have a special guest host for 3TT! With Nisha traveling abroad and Raj super busy with some super secret, super fun, client work, Parita of My Inner Shakti graciously agreed to step in and host #3ThingsThursday with me.
Parita has been joining this link up for quite a while and it’s always exciting to read her posts. You’ll find her blog filled with posts about fitness, food, family and life so you will definitely want to check out My Inner Shakti. 3 Things Thursday is the perfect post to start with.
Before you head over though, here are the three things I am sharing this week 🙂
1. Psylla Beads
If you follow me on FB or Instagram, I’ve been dealing with a bunch of sickies. Last week the hubby and my 6-year old were really sick. This week it’s my 4-year old. We’ve been having lots of inside days and some of the things we’ve been doing is creating with our plastic pyssla beads. It’s been fun, even for me and I wanted to share some of the cool stuff we’ve created. I even made a Pinterest Board with ideas if you want to try it out.
2. Lindt Shortbread Cookies
I’m working on a holiday campaign with Lindt chocolate where we create a recipe with the chocolate they sent us. After some deliberation, I made these Lindt Shortbread Cookies. Oh..my…goodness, they turned out sooooo good, like dangerously good and I want to eat them all. So I’m ‘sharing’ them with friends otherwise they will disappear into my stomach. That being said, they are perfect for holiday cookie exchanges and to give as gifts. I’ll be sharing the recipe soon!
3. What Alice Forgot
Over the weekend, I did something I haven’t done since before having kids, (and for a good reason.) I stayed up until 3:30am reading a book! The book really had me interested! In What Alice Forgot, the last thing Alice remembers is being madly in love with her husband and being pregnant with their first child. When she wakes up, it’s 10 years in the future, she has three kids and is getting a divorce from her husband. I was just so engrossed in reading it and finding out what happened that I couldn’t put it down until the end. I did pay for the lack of sleep the next day, but at least it was a Sunday! What’s the last book you did that with?
So those are my 3 Things Thursday this week. We would love for you to join in the fun! Here’s what you have to do. Write a post about three things you would like to share from you week. Grab the 3TT badge from the top of my post. Then link back to either myself, Salma, at The Write Balance or Parita at My Inner Shakti. It really is that easy and we can’t wait to read your posts!
Have a great Thursday and don’t forget to head on over to My Inner Shakti and see what’s happening on her 3 Things Thursday post.
Those cookie look amazing! Can’t wait for the recipe!
i havent read a book in so long..i do get engaged and invested if i like the book. have a lovely day and enjoy those cookies.
I love the Iphone you made with beads ..it’s cool 🙂 the last book I read was Wild, it’s a Journey of a women who hikes pacific crest trail for 1100 miles. very engaging and adventurous. They also made a movie of it.
So! I have many comments! First, those beads are pretty creative! Love the different designs! Glad it kept you all busy…hope by next week everyone is much, much better! Second, I am waiting for the cookie recipe. Lindt is one of my all-time fave chocolates and I can only imagine it combined with shortbread! Nice work! And lastly, that book is on my list of books to read. I had seen it in a list of highly recommended books. If you own it, can I borrow it? 😉
I am going out tomorrow and buying that book!! Also, the cookies look incredible and my girls would love those beads. Great post!
I recently found your blog and I’m excited to see all the great posts. The cookies have got me, Craving them now.
Hi!!!
Just requested the book from my library! I actually was up until midnight (way past my bedtime) to finish Mindy Kaling’s 2nd book!
