So it’s actually late Thursday morning as I’m writing my 3 Things Thursday post. I’m sorry about for any of you who tried to link up this morning. Last night I was just kind of exhausted and instead of writing my post, I watched a movie and went to bed early. It was kind of nice actually. Then I thought I would write it this morning, but the kids got up extra early and it was not going to happen. But I am writing it now and it’s better late than never, right?
1. Blogher
I can’t believe that next week I am leaving for #Blogher15, an annual blogging conference that is being held in New York this year! I’m excited and apprehensive because I have so much to do, organize and plan before I go! Aside from the home front, there looks like there are going to be some great sessions, parties and a new roommate, Mrs. Muffin Top at the conference. Of course I had to save the best part for last. Boys II Men will be performing at the closing party, how cool is that?! Even my husband is envious 🙂
2. Keyan’s haircut
I also had to share Keyan’s latest haircut. He’s always had long (ish) hair, mostly because he didn’t haven an opinion about it either way and the hubby and I loved it long. But now Keyan is starting to have opinions about it. Mostly that he doesn’t like to have to water down his hair every morning and then get it brushed. So, we finally did it, chopped it all off! Keyan is super happy because he wakes up in the morning and doesn’t have to comb his hair anymore. I have to admit, I kind of love it too. I think he would look good in anything really, mom’s bias.
3. Adult Slurpees
A few week’s back, I shared a homemade juice slurpee recipe on my blog that was a big hit with the kids. One day, after the kids had gone to bed and it was just a sweltering hot evening, I noticed some leftover slurpee. So the hubby added some vodka to it, more ice and we blended it up and it made the perfect cold summer drink!
Those are my 3 Things Thursday this week. If you would like to participate, it’s very simple. Write a blog post about three things you want to share. Grab the badge from the top of my post. Make sure to link back to either myself, Salma at The Write Balance, Raj at Pink Chai Living or Nisha at Love Laugh Mirch. Then click on the linky below to add your post. It’s that simple.
Have a wonderful Thursday!
NY is amazing! If you get some time, take the east river ferry over to LIC and grab a beverage of your choice at COFEED at LIC landing!
The conference ended up being so packed that I didn’t get a chance to go out too far! But it’s definitely on my list for next time. Thanks for the suggestion.
Boys II Men!! I’m definitely envious 🙂 Your little boy looks amazing with his hair cut. And the drink looks delish!!
Thanks Sumeet. And bogymen was awesome!!
Keyan looks so cute!!!!
Thank you Reshma 🙂
1. I’m looking forward to rooming with you, and maybe belting out a few Boyz II Men tunes!
2. That haircut is so cute! Isn’t it amazing how they change into little men??
3. I want some of that slurpee, virgin or with vodka!
Love your son’s haircut. Wish I could indulge in the slurpee drink and put on your best smile for the events you are attending.
Cute haircut! With my son, I was always so boring. For a time in high school, he spiked his hair with hair gel and I did like the look. Your adult slurpee would be great if it ever warmed up where I live (upstate New York) maybe one day it will, before winter comes.
Have a blast at the conference! And so jealous you get to see Boys II Men. I listened to their CD on repeat growing up and even had special dance routines for each of the songs!
