For some reason, I have a really hard time getting through non-fiction. Give me a novel and I can zoom through it, but other than that, it takes me forever to get through a book.
I have a list of inspirational, motivational and creativity books I want to read and I also have a list of parenting books that I want the hubby and I to read together. The list includes some really great parenting books that have been suggested and recommended, so today I thought I would share 4 Parenting Books I Want to Read.
1. How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk
This is number one on my list of parenting books to read. I have actually bought it, it is sitting on my shelf and we have read one chapter. The title explains it perfectly and I hope it’ll help me to be calmer in the moments I need and have better conversations with the kids.
2. The 5 Love Languages of Children
I heard a lot about The 5 Love Languages (the original version) from a friend who said it really helped her with her marriage. So when I found out about the children’s version, I was intrigued and put on my list to read.
3. The Conscious Parent
I few weeks back, I was moderating a panel that was talking about conscious parenting. As I saw a few clips and heard a little about it, I was confused as well as intrigued. I’ve added it to my list because I really want to explore it further.
4. Peaceful Parents Happy Kids
I love the title of this book, it says it all, peaceful and happy.
Have you read any of these books and if so, what are your thoughts about them? Is there another parenting book that you really liked or would recommend?
I have that first book in my to-do pile. My husband read it and loved it!!
I’m with you. Non-fiction can be really hard for me as well! Great picks, I’ll share with my sister since she’s a mom!

These are some really interesting reads.
I have never really thought about reading parenting books yet.
Cannot even manage my fiction from the wishlist.
But these really do look tempting. Will try to read atleast one before the year 😀

I was just looking up the Conscious Parent a couple of days ago! I’ve heard its a great book.
I have been wanting to read The Five Languages of Love and the Conscious Parents for so long! I’m thinking of getting an Audio Book to finally get through them. Have you considered those?:) – Tamania
An audio recording of it is actually a great idea Tamania!
